The village of Husthwaite supports two churches. The Norman Church of St Nicholas dates back to the middle of the twelfth century, whilst the present Methodist Chapel was built in 1841.

The nearest Roman Catholic Churches are St John the Evangelist, Long Street, Easingwold and Our Lady and St Benedict, East End, Ampleforth  which is served by Ampleforth Abbey.
